NOTE: If you have not paid for your Camper(s), they are considered to be on a wait list and can get bumped by another Camper who has been paid for.  If you need financial assistance, please contact us.

Camper Sponsorship & Financial Assistance 

We believe every teen who wants to attend Sunset Point Teen Camp should have the opportunity to come. Donations given toward camper sponsorship help offset costs and provide financial assistance for families who may find the camp fee difficult to manage. 

If the cost of camp would prevent your teen from attending, we encourage you to contact us. Thanks to the generosity of donors, a limited amount of financial assistance may be available each year. 

Requests for assistance are handled confidentially and are considered based on need and available sponsorship funds. Assistance may cover a portion or, in some cases, the full camp fee.

 Hello Campers and Volunteers!

Camp is not that far away! This year we will run teen camp from Aug 11-15 at the usual location.  

Important dates to note:

Volunteer Registration: April 21

Camper Registration: May 10th @ 10 AM

This year will be able to accommodate 100 Teens.  If we receive more registrations will place your camper on a waitlist.  Volunteers are able to sign up their campers 3 weeks early and receive a discount on the registration fee for 3 full days of service.

Today is the day to sign up your teens for this years camp! Registration is open at 10AM.  Please hit refresh on your browser at that time to be able to see the new post on this page.

We will update when we have the camp filled and if a wait list has to be started.  Please send in you E-transfer so that we can keep the spot for your child. Unpaid spots will not be saved unless PREVIOUS arrangements have been made.

Again, just because you have signed up here doesn't mean that your spot is secure until we see the E-transfer.

Sunset point teen camp runs Aug 12-16 this year!

We are going to open up registration and take up to 110 this year on 1 week.  Early registration is open to those persons who volunteer for helping out with camp.  A discount of $25 will be applied to anyone who volunteers for 3 or more days.  Regular registration will take place on May4th at 10am. 

 We will do our best to keep it updated so that as soon as we reach our max we will begin taking kids on a waitlist.  If we can get 22 counsellors, we will take 110 kids. Please consider helping us out as a counselor! 

Camp fees this year remain at $200 and is due upon registration.  No exceptions.

 If you are trying to register and it doesn't accept your form, please try again as we might be in the middle of updating it and don't know how the timing will work out.  Thank you for your patience and understanding!

 Camper Registration Delayed

We are delaying opening camper registration until May 15th.  We need to have 1 to 5 more counsellors for Week 1 and we need 4 to 8 more counsellors for week 2.  We also need a few other roles to be filled so check the volunteer tabs for updated numbers.  Please consider signing up, or encourage someone you know to sign up, and please continue to pray that God will provide! 

It's March and planning is well underway!!  Our theme for this year is "Who has your heart?" and it's taken from Matthew 6:21 "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Volunteer incentive!!  Volunteers will be able to register starting on April 1 and will be able to register their own children early to ensure a spot for them!  You will also be given a $25 discount for them if you are volunteering for at least one full day!  Take a peek at the volunteer tabs for each week to see how you can help.

Regular registration will open on May 1 and will be first come, first served.  The cost this year is $200. We are hoping to have room for about 80 teens per week but it will depend on how many counsellors we get.  For every 2 volunteer counsellors, we will take 10 teens. If we only get 10 counsellors, we can only take 50 kids. So please consider volunteering if you want your teen to have this opportunity!

What to expect at camp

Upon arrival you will receive a T-shirt and bandana in your team colour.  You are expected to wear your bandana for the whole week and it must be secured and visible at all times.  You will be told when to wear your camp shirt. 

You will be assigned to a room with friends that you requested on your registration form.  Each room sleeps 4 to 6 teens in bunk beds.  

Throughout the week you will participate in sports such as volleyball, soccer and basketball, challenges, games and devotions with your team.  Your team will have 2 adult counsellors who are there to guide and support you!  You will be treated to lots of good meals and snacks throughout your day :)  There will be 3 presentations (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings)  You will learn some Bible verses and songs, enjoy campfires, and free time!

Thursday evening you will put on a talent show with your team!  This is one of the highlights of the week and is sure to have you laughing!  

Friday morning after breakfast we will clean up and pack up, then have a parent coffee social with a short program including a slide show highlighting the week's activities.  

This is a week that is sure to be etched in your memory for a lifetime!  

 Sunset Point Teen Camp 2023

Mark your calendars!!  We are so excited to announce that we will be offering 2 weeks of camp this summer!  We are planning to run 2 similar weeks and offer them both to all kids who are currently in grades 7-9 and are members of the Canadian Reformed or United Reformed churches of Alberta.  

Week 1 ~ July 17-21 

Week 2 ~  August 14-18.  

We will need many volunteers to make this happen, including someone to manage the kitchen for week 1, a games coordinator for week 2, registration, counsellors, kitchen staff and clean up crews, so please consider this when planning your summer vacation.  Our greatest need is always for counsellors.  

We will be asking for financial donations from businesses as well as food donations in order to keep our costs low and keep camp affordable.  

Since this is the first time we are able to offer 2 weeks of camp, and we will need significantly more volunteers, we aren't sure how many kids we will be able to take yet.  We will need a minimum of 10 volunteer counsellors for each week to take 50 kids per week.  If we get 16 counsellors each week then we can take 80 kids per week - which is our max total per week that we can accommodate.  It is also really important for us to have the other volunteers in place such as kitchen staff, games coordinators, music leaders, and more.  Please consider helping us.  You won't regret it!  It is always a lot of fun for the adults too and we never make you do anything you are uncomfortable with :)

We are still working out more details and the theme for this year, but we hope to share it soon.

Camp 2022 was challenging for sure, but still a huge success!  We are planning to send out a link to the camp photos, videos, and slideshow in the next couple weeks.  We are also looking for feedback so watch your email for some survey links and questions.  Thanks again to the many volunteers who worked tirelessly to make this year's camp a possibility! 

CAMP IS FULL

 We are taking names for a waitlist.  If a spot opens up we will contact you in the order that registrations are received.  In previous years we have been able to take many teens from the waitlist.

Go to the registration tab and fill in the form but don't send in your payment yet.  

 Registration will be opening up at 10:00 today!  You will find the link under the registration tab.  

We are expecting a bit of a "mad rush" of people signing up right away.  As soon as we see the count getting close to 100 we will pause it and change the wording to waitlist.  If you get a message saying you are being put on the waitlist, please go ahead and sign up anyway.  In previous years we have taken up to 16 teens from the waitlist.  People change their summer plans or something else comes up and they have to cancel and bam! your kid is in! :)

Teen Camp 2022!

 We are beyond excited to announce that plans are in the works for teen camp 2022!  It's about time hey?!  We have the camp reserved for August 8-12.  More details will be coming soon!

We are so sorry to announce that due to the COVID19 pandemic and the recommendations made by Dr. Hinshaw that we are cancelling Teen Camp for this summer.  Thank you all for your prayers and support.  We hope to see you in the summer of 2021!
